Kristian Kiradjiev (2016, DPhil Industrially Focused Mathematical Modelling) has won the Graham-Hoare Prize from IMA for his article on “Connecting the Dots with Pick’s Theorem”, published in the December issue of Mathematics Today.
Kristian’s DPhil research examines the subject “Modelling Removal of Sulphur Dioxide from Flue Gas”. He has also taught “Fluids and Waves” at Univ as part of the undergraduate Mathematics course.
Last year he was awarded the Early Career Mathematicians Catherine Richards Prize from the IMA for his article on “Exploring Steiner Chains with Möbius Transformations”, which was published in Mathematics Today magazine.
