Mastership Search

The College is excited to announce that it has just launched the search for a new Head of House. Sir Ivor Crewe became Master in 2008, and is due to retire in July 2020 after 12 years of superb leadership.

The Fellows are aiming to pre-elect a new Master by the summer of 2019, and welcome the engagement of the College’s alumni in helping to identify strong candidates.

The College has retained the services of Russell Reynolds Associates to help in the search, and has also formed an Old Members Advisory Group (OMAG), who will meet the final candidates and provide feedback and comments to the Fellows when they make their final decision. The members of the OMAG are: John Cummins (chair of the Advisory Group); David Frederick; John Ridding; Gigi Woo; Sara George; Victoria Walker (English, 2001); Minesh Shah (Physics, 2004); and Jon-Paul (JP) Spencer (PPE, 2010).

You should feel welcome and encouraged to suggest names of potential candidates to members of the OMAG, or via Russell Reynolds (by emailing simon.kingston@russellreynolds.com), or via the Vice-Master (Peter.Jezzard@univ.ox.ac.uk) who will chair the Mastership Appointment Committee.

The advert for the post is available on the Jobs at Univ page.
