Wellbeing week Michaelmas 2020

Wellbeing week Michaelmas 2020Wellbeing Week begins today, providing much-needed respite to members of the JCR community. Antonia Ledda (2019, PPE) and Uri Shine (2019, Psychology), the JCR Welfare Reps, have been working hard to organise safe, fun events for all.

Events include a meditation session, album designing, reading group and a face mask evening. On Friday, Guy will host another virtual open mic at 9pm on Zoom. This week’s open mic is also a Movember fundraiser — show off your moustache and your talent (and donate if you can). The welfare classic, welfare tea, will take place on Saturday afternoon in the marquee on the Fellows’ Garden.

Antonia said, “While the focus of this term has been keeping everyone safe and well, it’s also equally important during this time to think about looking after our mental health. Nothing can replace the social interaction of a normal term, but we’d like to think that Univ is a community that looks out for each other now, as much as ever.”
