Virtual Open Days
On 1 and 2 July the University of Oxford is running a virtual open day for prospective applicants. This replaces the normal open days where thousands of future applicants usually flock to the city. Univ will be getting involved with its own ‘college page’ where we’ll be showing off all aspects of college academic and social life. There’ll also be a chance for applicants and their families and teachers to ask questions of students, tutors and admissions staff. While we’re so sad not to meet applicants in person, the College is looking forward to responding to questions from prospective undergraduates.
Ask a question
If you have a question for our tutors or students that you’d like answered, you can submit it here. This form gives prospective applicants, their families and teachers a chance to submit questions ahead of time. You might find this useful if you can’t make the open day date or have a question really specific to you. We’ll keep this form live after the open day too if you’re accessing our content later in the summer or autumn.
The timetable for the day is as follows:
• Videos where Univ’s students talk about college life and why they chose to apply to Univ (Available all day)
• Undergraduates and admissions staff available to answer questions (10am-5pm)
• “Studying Humanities and Social Sciences at Univ” and Q&A with Univ’s tutors and admissions staff (11am-12pm)
• “Studying Sciences at Univ” and Q&A with Univ’s tutors and admissions staff (2pm-3pm)
The content will remain up after the day itself, so if even if you can’t make it on 1 or 2 July you will still be able to access the videos and some of the answers to questions submitted by open day attendees.
Prospective applicants and their families may want to register for the university-wide open day on the University of Oxford’s undergraduate admissions pages. While registration is not mandatory, it will allow you to hear news of the university-wide programme once it is released.
