Reading Bank update 2022

Univ’s Reading Bank is an important part of our online Staircase12 information hub for students thinking about applying to top universities and we are pleased to say that we have recently added yet more titles to this resource.

Our newly appointed Student Ambassadors have contributed more than a dozen new reviews, bringing out total list of recommendations to 190 titles, spanning the humanities, medical sciences, social sciences, and mathematical, physical and life sciences.

Amongst our latest updates Zoe (English Literature) looks at Arundhati Roy’s semi-autobiographical novel The God of Small Things, Toni (PPE) considers Why Nations Fail (By Daron Acemoglu & James A. Robinson), and Charlotte (Chemistry) recommends Rachel Ignotofsky’s excellent Women in Science. And it’s not just book reviews; our new additions include the BBC documentary Blair & Brown: The New Labour Revolution, and Ocean Vuong’s A Letter to My Mother That She Will Never Read from The New Yorker.

Our thanks to all of those who have contributed reviews over the years; we hope you enjoy exploring the Univ Reading Bank.
