Lyra’s Life – Chapter 4

Lyra bauble on Christmas treeOh my goodness, look at this tree! It’s Christmas!

“The Hall looked really splendid and I so wanted to stay for supper with the students (turkey, yum!) but Ms Paulina thought I was getting over excited and took me back to the Lodge.  I should say I was getting over excited! Turkey, baubles, fairy lights a Tree! Inside! Where trees really shouldn’t be but how wonderful it looked, and you can imagine that I was bowled over when I looked closely at the baubles and found – Yes! They were full of pictures of Me! Of course they were, who else could possibly be in them but your very own College cat! I am so chuffed. There are not many of them and I think some might already have disappeared, but I think she won’t be cross if the students were to quietly take a Lyra bauble home with them for their own tree – a present from me!

Lyra“Speaking of presents, I am making a list now for the big day. In honesty I already have so much so perhaps if anyone does think that they might like to put something aside for me, it might go into a little fund for a good cause somewhere else.

“Now is the season to share; I have everything a kitten could need; a warm bed and wonderful friends while there are those out in Oxford who have so little. Let’s remember them if we can. I have an invitation to spend the big day with that Dotty Dog – I might go along; it will be my first ever holiday in the beautiful land of Wales.

“I’ll let you know how I get on but for now, a safe journey home wherever that may be, have a lovely vacation and I really look forward to seeing you all again in 2022 for more cuddles”

Lots of love – Lyra
