Rebecca F. Kuang’s (2019, MSc Contemporary Chinese Studies) new book Yellowface, a literary thriller full of dark humour, will be released on 25 May.

When Athena dies in a freak accident, June steals her unpublished manuscript and publishes it as her own under the ambiguous name Juniper Song. Rebecca F. Kuang is the award-winning, no.1 New York Times bestselling author of the Poppy War trilogy and Babel: An Arcane History. A Marshall Scholar, she has an MPhil in Chinese Studies from Cambridge as well as an MSc in Contemporary Chinese Studies from Univ. She is now doing a PhD in East Asian Languages and Literatures at Yale, where she studies diaspora, contemporary Chinese literature, and Asian American literature.
