Oxford Literary Festival 2023

Sheldonian TheatreVarious OMs are speaking and leading tours at the Oxford Literary Festival, which is running from 25 March to 2 April.

Skye McAlpine (2003, Classics) is being interviewed in an event entitled “A Table Full of Love: Recipes to Comfort, Seduce, Celebrate and Everything Else in Between” at 12 pm on 29 March.

Alastair Lack (1964, History) is giving tours about literature and Oxford (sold out).

Elizabeth Garner (1994, English) is interviewing Frances Hardinge about her new book, Unraveller.

Dr Jack Parlett is giving a talk on “Fire Island: Love, Loss and Liberation in an American Paradise” on Sunday 26 March.

Rebecca Kuang (2019, Oriental Studies) is giving a talk about her bestselling fantasy The Poppy War trilogy and her latest book Babel, sponsored by the Confucius Institute at Oxford Brookes University (sold out).

Dr Timothy Phillips (1996, History and Modern Languages) is discussing the history of the Iron Curtain and Berlin Wall on Friday 31 March.
