Rhodes Scholar Mandela Patrick (2018, DPhil Engineering) is currently the number one squash player in Oxford.

He recently represented the University in the annual Varsity match, which Oxford won. He was also junior Caribbean champion and represented Trinidad and Tobago at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

Mandela, a recipient of the 2018 Commonwealth Caribbean Rhodes Scholarship, is in his first year pursuing a DPhil in Autonomous Intelligent Machines and Systems. His interest in machine learning was piqued by his Harvard classes, which he then developed with an internship at Instagram.
