Univ will be appearing on University Challenge tonight in their first-round match against St Catharine’s College, Cambridge.

Captained by Oliver Hargrave (2017, DPhil Oriental Studies), the team includes Leonardo Buizza (2017, DPhil Physics), Anisah Qausher (2020, English),  Abigail Karas (2012 BA Russian and Linguistics, DPhil Russian) and William Wilken (reserve; 2019, Economics).

Oliver commented, “It was a weird one. There were of course a lot of COVID restrictions – we even had to make sure our mascot was sanitised. I personally felt quite overwhelmed by the whole thing. It’s definitely a lot harder to get things right in the studio than it is watching it at home.”
