Univ heads to Sheffield
In July nine student ambassadors from Univ travelled with College outreach staff to ten schools across South Yorkshire, in a bid to recruit more school applicants from the area.
In July nine student ambassadors from Univ travelled with College outreach staff to ten schools across South Yorkshire, in a bid to recruit more school applicants from the area. Students at schools in Sheffield, Doncaster and Penistone got to experience a mock “Oxbridge interview” as part of the University’s efforts to dispel Oxford myths and stereotypes and recruit more state school students. Around 150 local pupils participated in the events, which included workshops on personal statements and academic enrichment activities including ‘fun philosophy’.
