We were pleased to invite old members from the area at the Imperial Hotel, Melbourne for a relaxed evening of wine and all things Univ on Wednesday, 3 July. Around 20 old members met with other fellow Univites and our DPhil student Will Prescott (2016, History).

Catherine Elliot-Jones (1979, Physiology), who organised the event, wrote: “On a cold winter’s evening in Melbourne, a group of Univ Old Members reminisced over drinks. Our matriculation dates ranged from 1972 to 2016 and most of us had not met previously. We were treated to a recorded address from the Master, Sir Ivor Crewe, and Will Prescott, a current post-graduate, gave us a first-hand account of the college today. The proposed development of Stavertonia is an exciting new venture. It is also good to see that Univ is still leading the way in breaking down barriers to entry.

The evening passed quickly and all agreed that we would like to see the event return. Thanks to the college for enabling the event to go ahead.”
