Rosamund Smith Mooting Competition
Peter Saville (2015, History) recently won the Rosamund Smith Mooting Competition at Middle Temple. Peter is currently undertaking his first six pupillage at 2 Harcourt Buildings.
The Rosamund Smith Mooting Competition is Middle Temple’s “senior” moot that runs over the course of a year. The final this year was held remotely but the problem was set by Sir Alan Moses (1964, Law), former Lord Justice of Appeal. The competition was judged by Sir Brian Leveson, Lord Leggatt and Lady Justice Thirlwall. Owing to COVID-19, it was held as a virtual debate in hall for the first time in the competition’s history.
Peter commented, “Hopefully this news might be useful for current students, especially non-lawyers, considering a career at the bar especially if like me they’re from state schools and haven’t been brought up around lawyers.”
