COVID Conversations

COVID ConversationsIn the first of a new series of “COVID Conversations” organised by the University, Professor Gavin Screaton, Univ Professorial Fellow, gave a talk on “How Oxford is tackling COVID-19” with an update on the latest achievements across a range of areas, from serology to drug discovery, to clinical trials and vaccine creation.

Professorial Screaton is Head of Oxford’s Medical Sciences Division. He is also a non-executive director at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust – which runs the John Radcliffe and Churchill hospitals.

The “Covid Conversations” series will cover all four academic divisions, from vaccine and drug development to modelling, economics and comparisons to the plague in Shakespeare’s time. Each session includes a short talk from an expert (or a panel of experts) into one of our key coronavirus research areas, followed by the opportunity for audiences to ask questions.

You can watch Professor Screaton’s talk on YouTube.
