Love your neighbour

Love thy neighbourAs a trustee of the Good Faith Foundation, Josh Richards (2013, History and Politics) has been able to support the team behind YourNeighbour.org, a capacity-building organisation supporting a network of over 1,000 churches to be good neighbours in the COVID-19 crisis. The website offers resources for churches and liaises with government.

YourNeighbour also run a helpline, staffed by a team of experts available 9-5pm, 7 days a week, on 0300 323 9952. They connect people with local churches so they can receive help with daily tasks, like dog-walking and food shopping, or emotional support.

The Foundation is partnering with national church denominations and the Good Faith Partnership to deliver YourNeighbour. The Good Faith Partnership help charities and business to launch new initiatives and institutions, work with them on research and development and provide strategic reviews as well as education and training. In the past, they have worked with the Global Refugee Sponsorship Initiative, Home Office, Jo Cox Foundation, Oak Foundation, Patriarchate of Jerusalem and Unbound Philanthropy.

Josh is currently an Ordinand at Ridley Hall, Cambridge, and has been involved with the Good Faith Partnership for a couple of years. You can follow him on Twitter.
