1975-1979 Gaudy

Our fantastic 1975-1979 Old Members attended their Gaudy on 22 and 23 September. The weekend began with tea in the Master’s Lodgings followed by a black tie dinner. The College bar was open from early afternoon until midnight with a drinks reception also held in the Butler and Alington rooms. Holy Communion occurred in Chapel the next day and breakfast was then served in Hall.

“I don’t think anything can wipe away the passing years so effectively as a return visit to the College. 40 years are reduced to a mere blink of the eye as you walk through that heavy door off the High – yes, there have been changes but the essential fabric and essence of Univ is unchanged from 1979. A gaudy is always fascinating, if a little intimidating, as you learn of the many varied and accomplished routes that contemporaries have taken, but it’s real delight lies in the rekindling of vivid shared memories of those formative times with old friends.”
Fiona Price (1979, Biochemistry)

We would like to thank all those who attended. A gallery of photographs from the event can be viewed below.
