On Sunday 21 May, the Chapel Choir was joined by 20 old choir members for Evensong. There were alumni present spanning 40 years, with the last ten years particularly well represented. The swelled ranks of the choir enjoyed singing music by some of Britain’s finest composers of church music; Herbert Howells, Gerald Finzi and Cecilia McDowall, as well as Charles Wood and Charles Villiers Stanford.

As well as those who joined us for the singing and subsequent pizza-eating, there were a good dozen more who sent their apologies. We hope to find a date soon for a similar gathering next summer with a view to many more old members being able to attend. And any requests for music to be sung will happily be considered by the Director of Music!
