Charity ergathon 2022

a smiling person in a red dressOn June 21, Nicole Szekeres-Tapp (2018, MSc in Biochemistry), WCR Social Secretary, will be undertaking a 10-hour solo ergathon in the archway in Radcliffe Quad, starting at 7am and finishing at 5pm to raise money for The Brain Tumour Charity.

Nicole is a fourth-year biochemist, who this year is completing her master’s research project in the Oncology Department. When she’s not in the lab, Nicole enjoys wine tastings and rowing with UCBC. She is also one of the WCR social social secretaries.

The Brain Tumour Charity is the world’s leading brain tumour charity and the largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours globally. Committed to saving and improving lives, they are moving further, faster to help every single person affected by a brain tumour. They are set on finding new treatments, offering the highest level of support and driving urgent change. And they are doing it right now. Because they understand that when you, or someone you love, is diagnosed with a brain tumour a cure really can’t wait.

Nicole commented, “I’m doing this for an incredible friend who was diagnosed with a brain tumour last year, and in memory of two family members, so this is a cause very close to my heart and I would hugely appreciate any donations.”
