Black History Month 2020

“2020 has been a year full of uncertainty as we have lived with the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on all our lives.

“It has also been a year in which our young people have challenged us through the Black Lives Matter movement to urgently address the insidious and pernicious impact of racism in countries like the UK and the US.

“This Black History Month let us celebrate the contribution of black people to our nation but let us also reflect on the need to move forward to make sure that this reflection and celebration doesn’t just happen one month a year, but throughout the year.”
