Bike cull 2023

With a large number of bikes accumulating across College sites, sitting unloved and unused, it’s that time of year again when we plan to recycle the cycles with the annual “bike cull”, which will take place on Friday 27 October.

This from The Lodge: “You’ll need to collect blue tags from the Lodge that you will need to attach to your bike, and any bike without a tag attached will subsequently be removed on 27 October. Please attach the tag somewhere obvious, but also somewhere that it won’t easily fall off. We also ask that you don’t put tags on for the sake of it, as there are a lot of bikes that have sat amongst the racks, completely unused and are now taking up spaces whilst rusting away.”

Unmarked bikes that are removed will be donated to the charity Recycle Your Cycle.
