Univ North tours

We are pleased to invite Old Members and Friends of the College to a series of thematic tours of the Univ North site. The tours will take place on Fridays over the next nine months and will focus on particular aspects of the development.

Each tour will be preceded by an optional buffet lunch from 1pm. The tours will commence at 2pm and last an hour with maximum 20 people per tour. Invitations will be sent for each tour approximately one month prior to the tour date.

The inaugural tour of Univ North on Friday 5 November included a focused look at the nursery (early years childcare setting) hosted by:

Angela Unsworth MBE, Domestic Bursar, member of the nursery working party
Dr Ben Jackson, Leslie Mitchell Tutorial Fellow in History, Associate Professor of Modern History, Development Advisor and member of the nursery working party
Gordon Cox, Director of Development

On Friday 3 December, the Univ North tour focused on project planning and implementation hosted by Dr Andrew Grant, Finance Bursar and Martha Cass, Deputy Director of Development.

On Friday 4 February, enjoy a tour of Univ North will include a focused look at the intergenerational aspect of the development led by Professor Sarah Harper, Supernumerary Fellow in Gerontology, Professor of Gerontology, and Co-Director, Oxford Institute of Population Ageing and Gordon Cox, Director of Development.

The tour of Univ North running on Friday 4 March will include a focused look at student life hosted by Dr Andrew Bell, Senior Tutor, Sam Williamson (2020, Engineering), JCR president, and Gordon Cox, Development Director.

On Friday 1 April, the tour of Univ North will include a focused look at the history of the Staverton Road site led by Dr Robin Darwall-Smith (1982, Classics), Archivist, and Gordon Cox, Director of Development.
