Message on Ukraine

A message from the Master, sent to all Univ staff and students on 24 February 2022

Like all of you I woke up this morning to the news that Russian forces had launched a military assault on Ukraine. I have personally witnessed the human cost of war and every time it seems close, I hope it will not happen. That as a world we will learn the lesson of “never again”. The cost is too high.

At Univ we are a diverse community and I know that some of you will be worried about friends and family. Our thoughts are with you. Please do contact the welfare team if you need support or would like to talk through how this situation affects you or others.

We all hope that peace will prevail and that the fighting will stop.
