UCBC 50th-Anniversary Celebrations for 1973 to 1975 Rowers
Summer Eights, Master’s drinks reception, Eights Dinner and Martlet Regatta

Univ Boat Club members who rowed in Torpids or Summer Eights from 1973-1975 are invited to join us at Eights Dinner 2024 for a combined 50th-anniversary celebration on Saturday, 25 May 2024. The weekend’s celebrations will include bumps race spectating at the Boathouse on the Saturday afternoon, where both of our first Eights will be racing competitively in the top division. This will be followed by a special alumni drinks reception hosted by the Master in College, after which we will invite you to join current students and more recent alumni for a whole-club reception and crew photographs in the Radcliffe Quad, before proceeding to enjoy Eights Dinner all together in the Hall.

For those who can stay over, on the afternoon of Sunday, 26 May, the Boat Club will be hosting the first ever “Martlet Regatta”, where alumni will have the opportunity to take crew boats out, and even battle paddle against our current student eights if they so wish!

It is set to be an exciting weekend and a brilliant opportunity to reconnect with past crewmates. Our committee would be delighted if you would register via Eventbrite, or if you have any further questions get in touch with any of us. We look forward to welcoming you back to Univ!
