Letters from Lockdown

Ali MercerAlison Pindar (née Mercer) (1991, English), writing as Ali Mercer, is a contributor to Letters from Lockdown, a collection of more than 100 letters about people’s experiences of the coronavirus pandemic.

It will be published by Hachette Children’s Group in July with all publisher profits going to Barnardo’s. It’s introduced by newsreader and presenter Natasha Kaplinsky, who is Barnardo’s president, and the idea for the book came from her children Arlo and Kika. The letter writers include a diverse range of members of the public and people who were on the frontline during the pandemic, including doctors, nurses and vaccinators, as well as household names.

Alison Pindar’s novel His Secret Family was number one on the UK Kindle and Bookstat ebook chart bestseller and was also a bestseller in Amazon UK’s most-sold fiction chart. She has also written My Mother’s Choice, published in July 2020, and Lost Daughter, published in May 2019. Her new novel The Marriage Lie will be published in May 2021.

Letters from Lockdown is now available to preorder and you can find out more about it and the contributors here. You can find out more about Alison Pindar’s writing on her website.
