Move to new Blavatnik School
Congratulations to Univ Fellows Professor Ngaire Woods, Calum Miller (1996, PPE) and Emily Jones, and Univ’s MPP scholars, on their successful move into the landmark Blavatnik School of Government building on Walton Street.
Students, faculty and staff moved into the Blavatnik School of Government on the Radcliffe Observatory Quarter this week. The Blavatnik’s 117 MPP students and 9 DPhil students from around the world, plus faculty and staff, were welcomed by Univ Senior Research Fellow and Dean of the Blavatnik School Ngaire Woods.
In her welcome speech, Professor Woods said “These beautiful new premises, designed to be open and engaging, will be essential in helping the School’s mission of inspiring and supporting better government around the world.”
Univ Old Member Calum Miller (1996, PPE), Supernumerary Fellow, is Chief Operating Officer of the Blavatnik School of Government. Univ Supernumerary Fellow Emily Jones is Associate Professor in Public Policy at the Blavatnik School and Deputy Director of the Global Economic Governance programme.
Current Univ graduate students reading for their Masters in Public Policy at the Blavatnik School of Government are Shamma Al Mazrui (2014) from the UAE, Dr Lawal Yusuf (2014) from Nigeria, Margarita Gomez Garcia (2014) from Mexico and David Wedgwood Barda (2015) from Australia.
