Dr Mark Daniell (1977, Law) was granted a Doctorate Honoris Causa from the Tbilisi State University in the Republic of Georgia, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the development of the investment climate in Georgia and for his efforts in promoting Georgia worldwide.

Dr Daniell delivered a joint public lecture with H.S.H. Prince Dr. Professor on the topics: “From Risk to Responsibility: Responding Thoughtfully to a Challenging World” and “Family Purpose: 2 A Conceptual Analysis of Individual and Shared Purposes in Business Families.”

“We are all delighted to attend this extraordinary ceremony at this magnificent university, which is very well known as a great institution. And to visit Georgia is always a great pleasure,” he said.

Dr Daniell is also a graduate of the Harvard Law School (University College), Amherst College and the Phillips Exeter Academy and has diplomas from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris and the Sorbonne-Université de Paris IV. He is a former senior partner at Bain & Company and currently Chairman of the Raffles Family Wealth Trust Ptd Ltd.
