Dr Ine Jacobs, Univ Supernumerary Fellow in Classical Archaeology, has been interviewed for the Impact Stories series on the University’s Development Office website.

In the interview, Dr Jacobs talks about her teaching and research, and how this has been supported by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, who endowed her associate professorship in 2019. She explains how her research – including the stunning discovery she made this summer at the ancient site of Aphrodisias – is helping to reshape our understanding the powerful Roman and Byzantine empires.

The Impact Stories series highlights the impact of philanthropy at Oxford and beyond and has featured such initiatives as The Hillary Rodham Chair of Women’s History, the Environmental Change Institute, The African Graduate Thrive Fund and the Wolfson Centre for Prevention of Stroke and Dementia.
