Dr Chelsea Clinton and Baroness Amos

University College was delighted to welcome Dr Chelsea Clinton (2001, International Relations) and her family to the College for a brief visit on Sunday 09 August. Baroness Amos, Master of the College, accompanied Dr Clinton who visited various parts of the College including the Shelley Memorial, The Old Library, The Chapel and Helen’s Court, where Dr Clinton saw her old room.

Dr Clinton’s career spans philanthropy, writing, media and academia. She is Vice Chair of the Clinton Foundation, promotes early brain and language development through the Too Small to Fail initiative, and is committed to empowering female entrepreneurs and women-led businesses around the world through initiatives like the Caribbean-focused Women in Renewable Energy (WIRE) Network.

Dr Clinton is Adjunct Assistant Professor of Health Policy and Management at Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health and Vice Chair of the Clinton Health Access Initiative, where she works to increase awareness around issues such as vaccine hesitancy, childhood obesity, and health equity.

Dr Clinton has written several books for young readers, including the #1 New York Times bestseller She Persisted: 13 American Women Who Changed the World, which celebrates thirteen American women who helped shape the country through their tenacity and persistence.

She is also the co-founder of Hidden Light Productions, a television and film production company.
