The Temple Church, London

The Temple Church is widely regarded as one of the most historic and beautiful churches in London. The distinctive round part of the building, which may be the earliest Gothic building in England, was consecrated in 1185 and is designed to recall the circular Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem. Some of the negotiations leading to the Magna Carta took place in the Church, which is why it sometimes referred to as “the Cradle of the Common Law.”
