Univ gymnasts at BUCS

Lewis Walker (centre) came first in High (Horizontal) Bar

Several Univ students competed at the BUCS Gymnastics Championships on 4 and 5 February, which was held at New College Leicester. The Oxford University team came second overall.

Lewis Walker (2018, MBiochem and PGCE Biochemistry), a Mallinson Bursary recipient, who is President of the Oxford University Gymnastics Club came first in High (Horizontal) Bar and overall fifth place out of 30 with a score of 43.900 (Group 2). He competed on floor (11.750), vault (11.050), parallel bars (10.800) and high bar (10.300).

Meanwhile, William (Will) McCaffery (2020, BA Law) came third place in Pommels and 11th out of 30 across all disciplines (Group 2), while Susanna Pahl (2020, MEng Civil Engineering) was 57th out of 66 (in Group 2).
