Sheldonian charity concert

Sheldonian TheatreThe Oxford Festival Orchestra are performing a charity concert on 25 November in the Sheldonian Theatre.

Two Univ students are members of the orchestra. Deniz Yoruk-Mikhailov (2022, Chemistry) plays cello in the orchestra while Zoe Shah (2022, English Literature) is currently guiding the orchestra’s digital marketing.

The concert promises the high drama and explosive emotion of Beethoven’s Coriolan Overture, the ear-worms of Bruch’s Violin Concerto, and the genius of Beethoven’s Seventh Symphony.

This concert is held in support of the Davison Young Music Fund, which provides grants and scholarships to underprivileged young musicians. All the money from ticket sales will be donated to fund the DYMF’s next round of bursaries.
