On Friday 20 September, Univ once again took part in the Oxford September Open Day. The weather generally stayed dry, but the risk of rain and a decrease in temperatures meant that our wonderful tortoise Percy ‘worked from home’ that day, choosing to stay under his heat lamp over meeting prospective applicants. Nevertheless, the day went smoothly, with great attendance at our demonstration interview sessions. Our student helper team was composed of a variety of types of Univ student, consisting of undergraduate, postgraduate, home and international helpers. We were even lucky enough to have students who have just graduated return one final time to promote Univ and Oxford.

We would like to thank all the members of staff who helped make the day such a success. Open days really are a team effort between every single division of the college and it’s a testament to the great relationship and teamwork between staff and students we are able to pull them off so successfully. In particular, we would like to extend our thanks to the porter team, who ran a skeleton team on the day due to unavoidable absences. Thank you all and we look forward to doing it all again next June!
