Green Action Week 2023
Next week, from 22 February, The University’s Environmental Sustainability team is hosting their first ever Green Action Week – a week full of exciting events that empower and celebrate environmental action.
Its aim is to be an introduction to the diverse and extensive sustainability work taking place across the University, colleges, and wider Oxfordshire, allow engagement with research and environmental organisations, and demonstrate how we can all take action.
A wide range of events are planned, from visible mending workshops and bird walks to botanical and insect drawing session and roundtable discussions. See the full list of events.
For full details of Green Action Week, see sustainability.admin.ox.ac.uk
The University’s Environmental Sustainability team also produce three targeted email newsletters – one for staff and Green Impact participants, one for those working in laboratory environments, and one aimed at students. You can subscribe at Environmental Sustainability Newsletters.
Univ will continue reporting on sustainability initiatives from across College so please look out for these on our dedicated Sustainability at Univ page, our News Hub and social media channels – Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
In the meantime, please see below to make your suggestions on sustainability at Univ.
Have your say on sustainability
We welcome feedback from across our extended Univ family and all are encouraged to make comments or suggestions for actions, small or large, which could improve sustainability at Univ. Current students and staff are invited to provide feedback using the form on our Intranet here.
Those without access to Univ’s Intranet are most welcome to send their comments or suggestions via email to Justin Bowyer.
All comments and suggestions will be presented to the Sustainability Committee at the next available opportunity.
We look forward to hearing your ideas.
