Univ in the Arts: The Power of Art

Old Members and their guests are warmly invited to attend a very special evening in the beautiful surroundings of Leighton House in London, where Dr Caroline Campbell (1991, History), director of the National Gallery of Ireland, will be in conversation with Dr Oliver Cox (2006, History), head of academic partnerships at the V&A. Their discussion will explore Caroline’s career as an art historian and curator and her book, The Power of Art, which delves into the stories behind pivotal acts of artistic creation in fifteen cities around the globe, spread across thousands of years of history.
There will be a chance to mingle over drinks and look round Leighton House from 6.30pm. The discussion will begin at 7pm with a further opportunity to explore the house at the end of the evening. The event will finish at 9pm.
