Univ North foundations

Foundations of large-scale building with storm clouds gatheringThe development is taking shape with the installation of the foundations and drainage for the new buildings, including Water Courts East and West, Banbury Road Villa, Walnut Lawn Villa and Woodstock Pavilion, nearing completion. We are also commencing some underpinning work to strengthen some of the existing foundations of the Garden Building, which will become the new nursery.

Tower crane foundation on building siteOur contractor SDC will continue to prepare for the underground services that will supply the new and refurbished buildings around the Univ North site. This will prepare the site for the above-ground works, which will commence later in the year. SDC have also recently cast the foundation and starter frame in place for the tower crane that will be used during erection of the Water Court buildings.

Nursery underpinningAn important aspect of the build will be the new 54-place nursery, which will provide some much-needed childcare provision. Work on the installation of foundations and drainage for the new nursery has commenced, and modifications to the existing Garden House on Woodstock Road to develop the new nursery building will begin in August.
