Oxford Open Doors 2019

Univ Open Doors 2019On Sunday 15 September, in collaboration with Oxford Preservation Trust, Univ will be taking part in Oxford Open Doors, which sees many of Oxford’s historic and iconic buildings opened to the public.

From 10am until 4pm Univ will open its gates and offering the opportunity for visitors to see inside the oldest college in Oxford and explore its beautiful grounds, Chapel, Shelley Memorial and glorious 16th Century Dining Hall.

Tours of the garden will take place on the hour throughout the day and refreshments will be served in the Fellows’ Garden – with tea, coffee and cakes available all day and Pimms served from noon. Food, drinks and snacks can also be purchased from our Buttery café and children’s activities and a “Treasure Map” competition with a chance to win a night’s B&B at Univ will also be available*.

With 2019 marking the 40th anniversary of the arrival of the first women students at College our Library will be hosting a very special “Women at Univ” exhibition; although free, the tour incorporating the exhibition must be pre-booked via the Oxford Preservation Trust website.

*Open to entrants aged 18 and over, the winner will be selected at random after 4pm on Sunday 15 September, 2019 and notified within 14 days. The date of stay will be by mutual agreement and dependent on availability.
