Professor Laura Herz, Supernumerary Fellow in Physics has won the Royal Society of Chemistry’s Environment, Sustainability and Energy Division Mid-Career Award. More here.

Charity ergathon 2022
Nicole Szekeres-Tapp (2018, MSc in Biochemistry), WCR Social Secretary, undertook a 10-hour solo ergathon in Radcliffe Quad to raise money for The Brain Tumour Charity. Details here.

• Baroness Amos was on BBC Radio 4’s Today programme and BBC lunchtime news on 23 June, discussing the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan (as former UN Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator).
• Matthew Berry (1995, Music) returned from Sudan to direct Commotio for the first time in two and a half years in a programme celebrating the music of Vaughan Williams (on his 150th anniversary), his contemporaries and pupils in a concert on 18 June at St Margaret’s Church, Oxford.
