New Development Director

Woman smiling with a bobUniv is delighted to announce the appointment of Rebecca Baxter as Interim Development Director. She will start at Univ on 28 September.

Rebecca is a fundraising and communications specialist, with 20 years’ experience spanning academia, the commercial sector and the arts. Her fundraising career started as the first corporate development manager for The Sage Gateshead – the international music centre designed by Sir Norman Foster and partners. At Kellogg College, she has been responsible for initiating the College’s fundraising strategy, soliciting and stewarding six and seven-figure gifts, establishing a successful alumni relations programme, and launching a legacy society for the College.

Before joining Kellogg, Rebecca spent more than a decade in public relations, including leading on communications for Oxford University’s high-profile building projects, and on external communications at BMW Group’s MINI Plant in Oxford. She has a degree in German and Art History, for part of which she studied at Vienna University; and a Master’s degree in Art History and English Literature – both from Reading University.

In her spare time, Rebecca enjoys ballet, yoga, gardening and reading.

Rebecca commented, “I am very much looking forward to working with the team, the Master, and colleagues across the College. I’m delighted to have the opportunity to join at such an exciting time with both Univ North and the 775th anniversary on the horizon.”
