Catriona Bourne at the Albert Hall

Blonde woman playing flute in silver dressInstrumentalist Catriona Bourne (2011, Music) is playing flute and harp at the Elgar Room as part of Menaka PP Bora’s exciting evening of conversation, dance and music.

Catriona Bourne is known for her versatility as a musician, but has a particular focus on contemporary classical flute, in addition to Baroque flute, and jazz harp. She is currently studying postgraduate flute performance at Trinity Laban Conservatoire, with the support of a TCL Scholarship, Bibby Award Scholarship, the Michael Hirst Award Scholarship, the Colin Blythe Fund and the Women’s Careers Foundation.

She composes her own tunes for electric harp and leads a trio playing original music with the combination of harp, electric guitar and drumkit. Catriona is also a Choral Scholar with the Trinity Laban Chapel Choir at the Old Royal Naval College and freelances as a choral singer around London.

In addition to concerts, Catriona is happy to provide light classical and folk background music for events on both harp and flute. She also teaches students on a private basis.
