University College, Oxford has today embarked on a search for a new Master to succeed Baroness Valerie Amos, who has indicated her intention to step down on 31 July 2027 at the end of her current seven-year contract. The College feels incredibly fortunate to have enjoyed the leadership that Valerie has provided to us since she took up her post in 2020, and she will be a very hard act to follow.

As we draw closer to summer 2027, we fully anticipate that there will be one or more events to recognise Valerie’s hugely successful period as Master of the College, and we will share details of those nearer that time with details.
