Beacon Conversation and Black History Month formal

Professor Patricia Kingori, Wellcome Senior Investigator and Professor of Global Health Ethics, will join us for a Beacon Conversation on Wednesday 21 October 2026 at University College, Oxford. The conversation will take place in the 10 Merton Street Lecture Theatre, 5.30-6.30pm.
The conversation will be moderated by Univ Beacon Junior Research Fellow, Dr Lyn Kouadio.
Professor Patricia Kingori is a highly impactful sociologist and health ethicist who has acted as an adviser to the WHO, Save the Children, and Médecins Sans Frontières, among other organisations. In 2021, Professor Kingori became the youngest Black woman to receive a full professorship in the history of Oxford and Cambridge universities.
