Town and Gown 2026

Town and Gown 2026

Team Univ’s 2026 Town and Gown entrants

On Sunday 10 May, a record-breaking number of people took part in the annual Oxford Town and Gown 10K race, raising an impressive £350,000 for charity. The Town and Gown continues to be an inclusive event, welcoming runners of all abilities to take part in a scenic route around Oxford city centre and University Parks.

This year, the College was once again represented by Team Univ, which was the fifth-largest team participating in the event. Team Univ saw 50 runners cross the finish line, including 33 students and 7 members of staff. Congratulations to all our runners who took part in this year’s event, with special mention to our fastest male finisher, Tom Davies (2025, Maths), and fastest female finisher, Maya Ramzan (2023, Biochemistry).

David Land, Finance and Investment Bursar at Univ, said: “It was a great privilege to pin on a number to represent Team Univ in the Town and Gown 10k footrace. From the pre-race huddle in Main Quad to the post-race brunch in Hall (which sent the morning into calorie surplus) the organisation was faultless. As for the race itself, in the category of Male Univ Fellows aged 55 – 59, I sadly came last, comprehensively thrashed by Gideon Henderson FRS (Fast Runners Society?).”

Congratulations to everyone who took part in this year’s Town and Gown race.
