The Lodge is recruiting for a Deputy Head Porter to support and complement the Lodge team.
The Lodge is the welfare, information and customer service hub of the College and offers a wide range of services to students, staff and visitors on a daily basis. It is the first port of call for most; it operates as the front window of the College and its public facing office. In being these things, its staff provide critical front-line engagement with our entire community. The Deputy Head Porter is a crucial role which supports and promotes the tone, manner and approach of the Lodge, set by the College and reinforced by the Head Porter.

The highest degree of professionalism, dress and deportment and confidentiality is required of the Lodge at all times.
The successful applicant will be approachable, calm and measured. A command of the respect of all members of the College is imperative, as is a compassionate and empathetic approach to people and an affinity for working with young people in an educational setting. The successful candidate will be expected to undergo a DBS check prior to being confirmed in post.
The College offers attractive terms and conditions including 30 days holiday per year (pro rata), free meals while on duty, pension, bicycle purchase scheme, amongst other benefits.
