The 2017 University College Clement Attlee Memorial Lecture will be given by Marc Stears, on 'Really taking control: can democracy defeat populism and what happens if it doesn't?'

The lecture will be at 5pm on Friday 20 January in the 10 Merton Street Lecture Theatre, University College, Oxford

The University College Clement Attlee Memorial Lecture

Univ Old Member Clement Attlee (1901, Modern History) was Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1945 to 1951 and Leader of the Labour Party from 1935 to 1955. Previous Univ Attlee Memorial Lectures have been delivered by Political advisor Arnie Graf, Frances O'Grady, General Secretary of the TUC, Rachel Reeves MP, former Shadow Secretary of State for Work and Pensions and Jon Cruddas MP.
