UCBC Dinner and Regatta 2024

University College Boat Club DinnerUniversity College Boat Club Summer Eights Dinner and Martlet Regatta

Saturday 25 May 2024
University College, Oxford

All Univ Boat Club alumni are invited to join us in celebrating Summer Eights 2024.

The weekend’s celebrations will include bumps race spectating at the Boathouse on the Saturday afternoon, where both of our first Eights will be racing competitively in the top division. W1 are currently ranked 3rd and M1 are currently ranked 9th in division one.

We would then invite you to join our current students at our traditional drinks reception in the Radcliffe Quad, before proceeding to enjoy Eights Dinner all together in the Hall.

This year, we will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of our 1973-1975 crews, so you can expect some rather special accolades from the past in addition to our traditional captains’ speeches!

For those who can stay over, on the afternoon of Sunday, 26 May, the Boat Club will be hosting the first ever “Martlet Regatta”, where alumni will have the opportunity to take crew boats out, and even battle paddle against our current student eights if they so wish!

It is set to be an exciting weekend and a brilliant opportunity to reconnect with past crewmates. Our committee would be delighted if you would save the date and RSVP via this Eventbrite page, or if you have any further questions get in touch. We look forward to welcoming you back to Univ!

All my best,

Charlie Kniebe-Evans (2018, Chemistry)
(UCBC President 2023-24)
