Year 12 Subject Study Days
Univ regularly hosts subject study days across the Spring and Summer Terms. These aim to give high-achieving students a taste of a university study and an insight into how they can develop their academic interests and skills beyond the classroom. They are run by Univ’s subject tutors and post-graduate students, consist of classes and lectures, and include a tour of the College and lunch with current undergraduate students.
The study days we ran in 2017 covered a range of subjects.
• PPE (Philosophy, Politics and Economics)
• Physical and Mathematical Sciences
• English and History
• Medical Sciences
• Ancient Civilisations
Check back in Autumn 2017 to see the programme for 2017-18.
Year 10 and 11 Taster Days
The ages of 15 and 16 can be an excellent time to start thinking about the prospect of university and what different universities offer. Each term University College will offer set days on which schools can book to bring small groups of students to. More details about these days and the available dates can be found here.
Teachers interested in bringing a group to one of these days should contact the Schools Liaison and Access Officer (E: email@example.com T: 01865 286565) to express an interest.
