Open Days

If you are thinking of applying to University College, or are unsure which college to choose, why not come to one of our Open Days?

You can come on your own, with a group from your school or college, or with a parent or guardian. Open Days provide a chance for you to find out all about life at the College and to meet current students and tutors.

When are the Open Days?

Open days for 2012 will be on Wednesday 27 and Thursday 28 June, and Friday 14 September. Most colleges and departments open their doors to prospective students on these days.

Who should come to an Open Day?

If you are thinking of applying to Oxford, and University College offers places in a subject you may wish to study, then we encourage you to come to one of our Open Days to find out more about what we offer.

How do I book a place at an Open Day?

Booking for the June Open Days at Univ will commence in March 2012. Booking forms will be made available on this web page in due course.

Booking onto the Open Day means you will be able to partake in any university College based talks, subject sessions and tours of the accommodation, teaching space, special areas and our green spaces and quads.

Can I just drop into University College?

Prospective candidates and their families are also most welcome to visit the College informally between 10.00 am and 4.00 pm on any of our Open Days, and should simply report to the welcome desk when they arrive. There is no need to register, and tours of the College will be available on a regular basis.

What if I can’t make the Open Day dates?

You are very welcome to visit the College and can drop in any day between 9.00am and 5.00pm (just tell the porters that you are a prospective student) or contact the Access and Schools Liaison Officer to arrange a visit. Please note that it is not possible to arrange individual meetings with subject tutors.

Additionally, you may wish to download one of the Oxford audio tours which guides you around the city and University. Univ features on the Red Route: Student Life and can be downloaded from here .
