Financial Assistance and Costs

Graduates applying to Oxford should think very carefully about their financial position. All colleges ask for guarantees in advance to confirm that students have sufficient funding in place to cover their entire period of study at Oxford – including University and College fees as well as maintenance.

While the College fee is the same for Home / EU students as it is for overseas students, the University fee depends on your ‘classification’ and on your programme of study. For more information about the classification of students for fees purposes, please visit the main University website and for more information about University composition fees visit this section of the main University website

College and University fees must be paid at the beginning of each academic year.

There are a number of sources of financial help available for graduate students: from government-funded awards, through University scholarships, to College scholarships. Univ is proud of its wide range of graduate scholarships: in most instances, the subjects in which scholarships are available vary from year to year, and bursaries for graduates represent a high priority for College fund-raising.

Graduate students are advised to read the main University website carefully to learn about the various sources of funding available to them.
