Computing and IT

In University College all student rooms have telephone lines and internet connectivity. Our students are invited to connect their personal computers to the internet for both study and personal usage. Of course, for the security of our IT systems, and those of our students, we do have a rather rigorous IT policy.

In addition to the internet connections in our student rooms, there are three separate Computer Rooms at Univ, one at the Staverton annexe, and two at the main campus. The main site rooms are separated into graduate and undergraduate. In each of the computer rooms, there are PC’s, Macintosh computers, printers and a scanner. All three computer rooms are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Public access terminals for email and internet use can also be found in the graduate and undergraduate common rooms.

To help with computer problems, there are IT drop-in clinics during term time.
